Proverbs 8:13
(Wisdom Speaking) The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Our God the Father is capable of hate, but it is only directed at evil. For example, in the Old Testament some would burn their sons and daughters as a sacrifice to their gods. Deuteronomy 12:31 says, "You must not worship God in 'their' way, because in worshiping their gods they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates."
God our Father has not given us license to worship Him in whatever way we think or want to. Yes, our lives are to be poured out in worship to God: but we am able to make bad choices about how to worship Him. Check where you worship and seek wisdom and ways of God our father from bible. Fearing the Lord invites wisdom to stay close and keeps us transformed in His design.
