Proverbs 6:12-15

Proverbs 6:12-15 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers; Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

On one hand, some of us probably find comfort in this verse at a glance, because we may know someone like this. The knowledge that “they will get theirs” brings a sense of peace. Yet, this is a reminder of the urgency we should feel to share the gospel message. The power of the gospel can change any heart, and the Holy Spirit is poised and ready for that effort.

Let Him lead you and do not be afraid to be the messenger of salvation to someone who behaves like today’s verse describes. Remember Ninevah? Remember Jonah’s reaction to God’s mercy upon Ninevah after they repented?

“As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.” (1 Timothy 6:17-19), ‘Generosity’

It fair to Share the Kingdom of God
