Proverbs 21:5-6

Proverbs 21:5-6 The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want. The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

There are people in this world who have made their fortunes through lies and deceit. Unless those people encounter the gospel and receive the salvation made possible by the perfect sacrifice of The Messiah – they are doomed. Their money will not save them, and it means nothing without Yahshua,

Diligence is defined as: constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken. Today, consider the diligence of Yahshua The Messiah as He prayed sweating blood in Gethsemane.

Think on His restraint as He was beaten, questioned, and walked to His own death carrying the cross that would confront humanity with unfailing, ruthless love. As I consider my own diligence, I’m saddened by how often I have floundered to see things through.

“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. FOR I DECIDED TO KNOW NOTHING AMONG YOU EXCEPT JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. …” (1 Corinthians 2:1-14), ‘Wisdom’
