Proverbs 21:3

Proverbs 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

The only kind of sacrifice God is interested in is a living one. Romans 12:1 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God this is your true and proper worship.”

His Sacrifice and His righteousness collide in us to birth new creations: We transform. Becoming a living sacrifice means that we live according to the will of God for our lives, and that we turn away from sin daily, by keeping His commandments and obeying his voice for the glory of God.

Our ability to live in such victory was purchased by the blood of Christ. He is the reason we are able to trust the LORD with justice, He is the reason why righteousness is credited to those who believe, and He is the sacrifice that pays the debt of sin. There is no other way, the only way is Jesus.
