Proverbs 21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
A good king (or leader), should endeavor to do what is to the best interests of the citizen (or followers) entrusted to his/her care. Unfortunately, not all leaders regard this exhortation, and decisions are sometimes made for narrow minded aspiration, fear of something, and so forth.
A good king understands that they are under God’s authority, and accountable for the nature of their authority. Ultimately, the issue on the table today is the heart. A humble heart that seeks to surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit, that is a heart that God will direct and create incredible “streams of living water” from.
All will be held accountable by our great King Jesus, and justice will swiftly find those leaders who have done evil in His sight. Trust in the Lord and live as though He is with You because He is indeed with You.
“Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.” …” (Revelation 5:1-6), “The King of kings Jesus Christ”
