Proverbs 20:30

Proverbs 20:30 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

Isaiah 53:5-6: “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

Jesus took the blows that cleansed the evil forever in our hearts. We must see this as real power, and real change that takes place by grace through faith in Him. The extent to which He was punished physically is unparalleled, yet it carries everlasting freedom for all those who believe. Thank you, my unfailing Lord Jesus!

“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), ‘Temptation
