Proverbs 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
1st Corinthians 10:13; “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
This are promises for a way out when tempted by evil, and the fear of the Lord is always a willing escort as you flee from temptation. Our Lord Jesus was and is faithful, and has atoned for our sin. His sacrifice, orchestrated by the love of heavenly Father, has set the stage for us to live in victory, which at times means we run from evil.
“Visit him every morning and test him every moment?” (Job 7:18 ), ‘Temptation’
