Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
Let examine what Jesus taught about toungue in Matthew 15:10-11: “Jesus called the crowd to him and said, ‘Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.’” We have a choice of whether to use our words for life, or death.
Choosing to speak lies and perversity will not only break the spirit of those you speak to, but your own spirit as well.
Speaking words of life though, likewise, will not only infuse life to those who hear those words, but also infuse life and healing in the life of the speaker. The point is, speak life!
