Proverbs 15:32
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
The translations differ in how they interpret the terminology, yet a prevailing message remains clear.
Humility should be our approach to those who would be instructing, correcting, or disciplining us: and this includes Yahweh our Father Himself, whether it be via the Holy Spirit directly or through a person He is using in our lives.
We are still being sanctified, and that means that correction IS going to come to everyone who has accepted The Messiah at some point. In fact, it will most likely come consistently throughout life, and our response to it dictates our direction for the Lord.
