Proverbs 15:18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” The books of Nehemiah, Psalms, Joel, Jonah, and Nahum all refer to God as “slow to anger”, and then go on to tell of His greatness.
It is possible to be bold and courageous, yet also be patient and slow to anger that is the balance we must strike.
Be aware also, right action can sometimes be confused with a hot-tempered response; remember Jesus driving the money changers out of the temple? There was nothing slow about that. The situation demanded Jesus’ immediate response.
