Proverbs 12:4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
When a woman and man have intercourse, they become one flesh. This covenant union is not to be taken lightly, and the unity of it reaches into every aspect of the new life that has been born. That why marriage is necessary. A husband and wife become one. The design is that they approach God together, reach out together, work out their salvation together, love one another, serve one another.
Proverbs 12:4 is a call to wives to live in a manner that propels their husbands toward who God has created them to be. Wives, recognize today the influence you have in your marriage relationship. Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church! Doing so encourages a right heart in both of you toward God and toward one another!
