Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
1 Peter 4:8, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
How does love cover sin? 1 Corinthians 13 describes love as patient, kind, not jealous, not boastful, always hoping among many other characteristics.
Hate seeks a self-centered justice. If I get hurt, I want someone else to hurt too. Hate goes beyond that though, because it doesn’t need an excuse to quarrel or pick a fight.
Love covers sin because it is willing to take the hit. You know, like Yahshua stepped in and took the full penalty for our sins. That is love, because He set aside fairness and what we deserved, and made a striking decision: to die in our place so that we might live reconciled with Yahawah.
Share the love of Yahshua with others. Live the truth in front of them, and love as Yahshua did. Yahwah is Love.
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is Love” 1 John 4:8 (LOVE)
