Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Becoming drunk is losing control over your own power of choice to some degree.
For some people; getting drunk helps them forget, and for some it helps them remember; for some it stops the pain and for some it lets them remember it and feel truly alive. For some it reveals what is truly in their hearts, and for others it prevents their hearts from really dealing with something.
Giving yourself over to strong drink is not wise because you corrupt your own power of choice.
That power is one of the greatest powers you have been gifted with by our Father in Heaven Yahawah. You have the power to choose life or death, and becoming drunk compromises your judgement.
