Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Kings don’t have Religions, they have Kingdoms. And if a kingdom is a country with a government then a country has citizenship. Now can you be a citizen away from your country? YES. You can actually be away from home and still be a citizen.
Here is the problem with citizenship, we do not walk around with the sign showing we are heavenly citizen it is invisible but unless you give it away it became recognisable.
Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
All colonial government and citizenship's are invisible. God intent was to rule earth unseen. The King doesn’t need to come to the territory for it to be a part of the country. We are in the world but we don’t belong to the world. We are ambassadors heaven on earth now but soon we shall visit home.
Joh 12:30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
This verse is a citizenship in-citation from Jesus Christ, the voice is talking about is the voice from heaven when he was being baptized.
Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
